My constellation images were typically taken with Nikon DSLR cameras, and Nikkor/ Zeiss prime lenses at high ISO ratings.
The deep exposures (those with countless stars) were achieved on unguided motorized mounts like Vixen GP or Vixen Polarie. In most cases, an IDAS LPS D1 67mm light pollution filter was used in front of the lens.
