Solar photography: How to process your DSLR solar photos with Aperture(tm) on a Mac

This is a quite simple example how to process solar photos in Aperture (Mac). A Nikon d3100 DSLR at 1961mm focal length (f/9.3) is used to produce the following image.

Image 1: The NEF (raw) photo as it comes from the Nikon DSLR camera

Image 2: The same photo after processing (note the settings used)

The best settings lead to the best resultsThe best settings lead to the best results..these are IMHO the best settings in Aperture (Apple Mac) I have tried so far ;-)

Image 3: Once again, the settings used for processing.

Tip: You can create a filter in Aperture(tm) to process many solar photos in one stroke ;-)
